Dedication to the cause means stopping the intrusive, over-reaching government whenever and whereever possible. Unfortunately, those who benefit from big government, both multimillion dollar "non-profits" and left-wing special interests have vast financial resources that they use as seed money (or "investments") to grow government to further their bottom line.
Your "investment" in stopping the out of control growth of government will come back to you by stopping tax increases and, on occation, ending programs that should have sunset long ago.
In his address to Congress on August 12, 1974, President Gerald Ford said "A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have."
On January 20, 1981, in his first inaugural address, Ronald Reagan told the nation: "Government is not a solution to our problem, government is the problem."
Your contribution is not tax deductable, but will ultimately go towards lowering your taxes.
Making Financial Donations
Stop Big Government! There is not one particular way to do this, but let me tell you how your contribution will be spent.
The first $250 will go to pay for the Colorado Campaign Database (this is an annual fee for the software. Contact colin@echelondata.com).
There is a service from www.efax.com costing approximately $20 per month ($240 a year). This will be used to get the message to the media, organizations and decision makers that Big Government is not wanted.
There is also a small matter of a web site costing only about $15 per year for a basic site.
Incidentals like posters, signs and paper for flyers is expected to be about $200 to $500 for limited circulation.
Mail is another possible expense. The cost of printing in large volume (10,000 or more) is failry cheap at $0.05 cents per sheet and postage bulk rates are about $0.35 per letter but that comes to about $4,000 to mail 10,000 households.
The total cost of making a difference can be as little as $5,000, but is often more (consider radio and television at $250 to $500 per minute).
Please consider contributing up to $2,000.00 to get this endevor rolling. Your contribution of $100 or even $10 would be very helpful. Unlike the secretive, Goerge Soros funded, big government, socialist bloggs and web based foundations, we will post each anti-big-government hero's name.
